Located on the historic Rosengasse and once part of an old monastery, the building that now houses our hotel was built 500 years ago. Its previous incarnations between the Middle Ages and the present day include a house of ill repute, a private home and a commercial space. These mighty walls have witnessed births, deaths and love stories. Everyday life, work, worship and lots of celebrations have also played out here. It is a place where history was made, retold and immortalised on paper. A top-to-toe renovation project that also secured the substance of the building for generations to come was completed in December 2023 – reinstating the magic and energy of this special place in the process.
